Instant Delivery

Sunday scaries are a real thing. After a long weekend of cheering on the Dawgs, my friends and I don't want to leave the couch let alone go run errands. So, this means we order food online either from UberEats or Bulldawg Delivery. These delivery services offer a host of options to choose from and we all end up ordering whatever we're craving rather than settling on one restaurant, which is really nice. I was extremely envious of my friend when a Pub Sub arrived at our door. I had no clue Publix had started delivering! She even got a large bag of Salt & Vinegar Cape Cod chips and a bottle of shampoo and toothpaste. Publix is a far drive in perspective of other grocery stores and restaurants in Athens, so the fact that they now deliver is huge! If you wanted, you could have all your groceries and other needed items delivered to you. Someone literally goes and does your shopping for you then drives it over. Personally, I enjoy grocery shopping and running errands most of the time, but sometimes (like a lazy Sunday) I definitely would use the delivery service to fulfill my needs. The delivery service industry is growing like crazy. With the rise of technology, there's a whole new perspective in the shopping world and it has changed the whole dynamic. Rumor has it that one day, Amazon will be storing things in blimps and dropping them off at you house via drones. Amazon also delivers fresh groceries and any product you could really think of in a two day period. It's quick and easy and free delivery, so people aren't hesitant to use the service. The food box delivery industry has also grown tremendously. With the busy schedules of today's society, people enjoy receiving a box of ingredients with instructions to cook a healthy meal. My roommates and I used HelloFresh last year and it was great. Companies are racing to jump on the trend and become prevalent in the marketplace. Digital technology has allowed for consumers to have access to all new products and convenience. People prefer ease and quickness these days and the food delivery service aids in that aspect. Here are some photos of a few of the popular brands.

  1. This is a great read. I can relate so much to those lazy Sundays too! I do think Amazon is plotting to take over the world. Over the past couple of years they seem to be a step ahead of all competition.... in every segment. When I found out about their food delivery and the future of it... I thought it was so crazy- but so smart. This consumer world is all about convenience! I was surprised at the takeoff of the food box delivery. So many ladies brag about it at work but I think the price is still too high for me!
